Rasich - Letters to the Editors of The Baltimore Sun
Dear editor,
Mr. Schneiderman,
RE: article: When the world confront the undead of Croatia,
by Julia Gorin, of Jan 16, 2007.
This article sounds very much like a paid for Serbian propaganda.
Point by point it demonizes Croatia and its people's character,
without conisderation for the facts. Its bottom line conclusion
is that modern democratic state of Croatia is a fascist state
in the middle of Europe and all Croatians are fascists.
Show me the hate propaganda that surpasses this one?
How could such a prominent newspaper allow this unscrutinized
article, full of untruths, to get published?
Modern Croatia is not a fascist state, and people in Zagreb
would never allow Hitler's statue to be erected.
The biggest lie is that Croatia started the war against Serbs
in 1990. " to restore Croatian to its Hitler-defined borders".
Croatia only proclaimed its independence in its republic's borders
defined by Tito's communist Yugoslavia. Immediately after that,
Serbs living in Croatia instigated by Serbian war protagonists
in Belgrade, rebelled and started the log revolution, baricading
the streets of Croatia, and killing their Croatian neighbours.
Then Yugo Army led by Serbian generals started the war on Croatia,
fearing that cessation of the richest republic, would cut off
the supplyline to Belgrade.
It was the Serbian nationalists that tried to implement a fascist
state of Great Serbia comprising of Bosnia and majority of Croatian
lands, with their motto: Wherever the serbian boot walks is
Serbia.
Croatian generals and homeland defenders are not war criminals
.
Why doesn't article deal with the real war instigators and fascists
like Radovan Karadjic and gen. RAtko Mladic, who are still roaming
free. Serbia has not complied by extradicting them yet. So,
why does the article not deal with truths like this one? No,
because the writer is obviously Serbian nationalist and hatemonger,
who was given a free reign to write whatever hatred and lie
she wanted to spit about Croatia and its people's character.
IN THE NAME OF ALL CROATIAN PEOPLE WHO ARE THE LOVERS OF DEMOCRACY
AND DO NOT DESERVE TO BE CALLED FASCISTS, I DEMAND THAT YOU
PUBLICLY RETRACT THIS ARTICLE AND APPOLOGIZE TO THEM.
Thanks you,
Miriana Rasich
