Subject: letters re Gorin article

Dear Editor,

It is a sad commentary on your sense of fairness when you publish two
letters in favor of Julia Gorin's lies and diatribe against Croatia and
only one in rebuttal. It would behoove these Serb writers to first look
at their own country Serbia and finally admit their own dark WWII Nazi past
before pointing at others.
It is a fact that Serbia had several concentration camps, Banjica,
Sajmiste etc. in which thousands of Jews were killed. Serbia proudly told
Hitler that Belgrade is the first "Jew-free city" ("Judenfrei") and
issued antisemitic stamps. While Croatia publicly honors the dead of the
Jasenovac camp, the Serbs  demolished their camps so no one could point a finger at them! At the same time, Serbs' penchant  for adding zeros to the numbers of their dead is already legendary. Serbia is as nationalistic as they
come and proud of it.

Sincerely,

Hilda M. Foley
